How to Work Safe in the Library
Below are some pictures as to what not to do in our library! If you see health and safety issues within the library please let us know so that the Lovely Library Ladies can fix the issue for you.
Don't have liquids next to the computer or keyboard. This creates an electrical hazard if it is spilt on the keyboard, computer or the chords. Place your drink on a separate table. Remember only water is allowed in the library.
If using the Laptop and data projector please do not place lots of heavy material onto the stand as it may become a hazard and topple over, damaging both equipment and possibly the user.
This work space is way too crowded, making it a hazard to work at. There are way too many item on the desk, chords are every where making it an unsafe place to work at.
Should you see a frayed cord like this please don't touch it, let library staff know so that we can swap it out for a new one safely. This hazard has the potential to electrocute you.
